Meet the Acupuncturist
Meet Janice the acupuncturist-My story starts with physical pain. I had chronic back pain for about 10 months, low level but always there—I lost over 30 pounds, I was depressed, I was pale, I slept every chance I got, I couldn’t work—I had no stamina, I felt like I had been run over by a MAC truck and the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with me. What were they telling me—it was in my head and they wanted to send me to Hopkins for testing????. Maybe you can relate to this story, but I finally realized I had a choice and I wasn’t going for psychiatric counseling for real pain, so I checked out of traditional western medicine for good. I had to select another option where I would be believed and be set free from this pain. I was scared to death, but I called someone in the phone book, as I didn’t even know anybody that did acupuncture. I just knew I wasn’t getting well with traditional doctors. So I went for acupuncture treatments for about two months and was totally set free from the pain that held me down. I was so pleased and elated that I decided to get training so I could help others. Prior to acupuncture, my educational background led me to be a degreed Materials Engineer. My Engineering studies included training in failure analysis. After several years of study in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I am happy to say I am a holistic healer and an acupuncturist practitioner that strives to get to the root cause of the problem(s) for people and animals. I use this healing journey for the benefit of others. I welcome those difficult cases and challenges and was actually trained to fix the problems “the doctors can’t fix”. I have extended my studies to include training by Dr. John Brimhall, DC. I have become a certified practitioner and have incorporated many other modalities of healing like color and sound therapy.
